Outstanding young stallion One World came up with a good looking two-year-old winner at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Saturday.
His son Orbit made the perfect start to his racing career when making a winning debut in the first race at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth.
Trained by Greg Ennion, Orbit was given a well judged ride by JP Van Der Merwe in Saturday’s Western Cape Equine Trust Golf Day 24 January 2025 Maiden Juvenile Plate (1000m).
Van Der Merwe bought his mount with a strong challenge to run down favourite Clair De Lune and score by a long neck.
Bred by Syrilla Stud, Orbit is out of the Easing Along mare Anasa.
The colt is One World’s second two-year-old runner of the current season.
One of the best sons of champion sire Captain Al, One World’s progeny have been carrying all before them in 2024-2025.
Not only did One World sons One Stripe and Lion Rampart win the G2 Cape Punters Cup and Listed World Sports Betting Sophomore Sprint respectively, the Drakenstein Stud resident’s daughter World Of Alice ran out a convincing winner of the recent G3 Betway Fillies Mile.
